We all have hopes, dreams and aspirations, and it is not easy when something you have been chasing after gets pulled out of your grasp.
Make that the first time.
By the second time, it feels like the proverbial door has been slammed in your face.
When that happens, you have a choice to make.
You can sit and wallow; indulge in a pity party.
Or you can decide that a major part of being a Christian means that you place your life and your goals in God’s hands, and you depend on Him to point the way.
As was noted in a previous post, God’s timing is not our own and we are encouraged to wait on His direction.
He sees the big picture and we do not, therefore it is in our best interest to rise above our disappointment and confidently trust that when God closes a door, when the time is right and the situation is in our favour, He will throw open a window.
Until then, we are to trust and wait.
