Do you ever categorize your challenges?
You know, you’ve got the little ones (minor irritations that provide daily annoyance) and you’ve got the medium-sized ones (they are on your mind a bit more) then the humongous ones (these rob you of sleep and peace of mind).
Or maybe you categorize differently. We all have our own systems.
What I am curious to know is which ones do you give to God?
Many of us have this crazy idea that we should give the little irritations to God and keep the major worries for ourselves?
Think about it.
We pray, asking God to deal with that person who is getting on our last nerve, yet we go to bed and cannot sleep because we are stressed over where next month’s rent is going to come from.
How do I know that we are going about this the wrong way?
Genesis 18:14 asks us why we think anything is too hard for God to deal with.
In Numbers 11:23 God asks whether we think His arm is too short that He is unable to reach us; furthermore He challenges us to see what He can do about our situations.
Matthew 19:26 reassures us that with God ALL things are possible.
Finally, 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us to give all our stresses to God because he cares for us.
What further invitation do we need?
