I am writing this on the last day of February 2018.
A day that will never come again.
A day that one year ago, I had no idea that I would live to see.
I am so thankful.
Sure, we are probably waking up to several challenges surrounding us – at home, at work, in the world at large.
But I am challenging us today to just be thankful.
There’s a song I remember from my childhood that goes like this:
“Count your blessings, name them one by one; count your blessings see what God has done”.
I dare you to count your blessings TODAY.
I guarantee you will find that they outweigh your challenges.
So Lord, for dying on the cross to save me, for the breath of life, for the lovely (non-cold) weather, for the love and support of my family and friends, for a job, for food in my cupboard, for transportation (no public options where I live) for the fact that you fixed my stuck window (again), sparing me from an expensive trip to the mechanic, for media like this where I can publicly praise You, and for so much more – I am thankful!
What are you thankful for this morning?
