There are a couple of persons with whom I have cause to interact from time to time, and each time I am never quite sure of the reception I would receive.
They blow hot one day and cold the next. Today a hearty hello, the next I may not even get an acknowledgement of my greeting.
Thankfully God is not like that. Hebrews 13:8 (NIV) reminds us that, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
What a relief! I never have to wonder what kind of reception I’ll get from Him.
The same God who spoke to Abram, Moses, Joshua, and Solomon in the Old Testament wants to connect with me in 2018.
The Lord who raised the dead, healed the sick and released sinners from their bondage in the New Testament is interested in my life.
In Malachi 3:6 (KJV) God tells us, “…I change not.”
How awesome is that? Talk about consistency!
I hope I am as consistent in my interaction with others; that people know what they can expect from me.
I hope I am consistent in allowing Christ’s love to flow through me to others. I think that would be the greatest compliment I could pay to the one in whose image I was created.
