Planning a birthday party for a child these days is no easy task, especially when your child is a gregarious one.
I felt pretty bad once I had whittled the proposed names down to a manageable number.
As much as I would have wanted to include everyone, some had to be left out.
Thankfully, our Heavenly Father has no such problems.
He desires that each and every one of us attends the major event He plans for when life on this earth is over.
Revelations 19:9 (NIV) tells us, “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”
That’s all of us!
All are welcome!
However, as with any invitation, a response is required.
Will we accept the invitation? Or will we reject it?
We all need to decide. God doesn’t mandate attendance. As much as He would love us to be there, He leaves the choice up to us.
With most RSVPs, a date is given to guide the timing of responses.
God’s invitation also has an expiration date; we just don’t know when. Therefore, we should not delay in making our choice known to Him.
So what will your answer be?
