There are many ways to give during this season and many reasons to give. But for the remaining two days I want to look at giving to God.
First, we’ll look at giving to the mission.
Day 6: Matthew 28:19 (KJV)
“Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
We are reminded that as Christians our focus ought to be spreading the gospel of Jesus’s love and His soon-coming to the world.
Well, in this day and age, doing that costs money.
Bibles, tracts and other literature to be translated and printed.
Travel and associated costs to be provided for missionaries .
Technologies, that can allow the the message to be sent around the world through television, radio and the Internet to be purchased and people paid to operate them.
Airplanes, boats and other means of transportation to be sourced in order to get the gospel to the far-flung regions of the world.
And much, much more.
Evangelizing in the 21st century can cost a pretty penny.
So…have you given to the mission lately?
Remember, the amount does not matter as much; the giving does.
