The Season of Giving – Day 7

What can we give to a God who gives us so much?

Day 7: 2 Corinthians 8:5 (KJV)

“They first gave themselves to the Lord.”

While it is vital that we contribute to the mission of spreading the gospel, even more critical is the need for us to give ourselves.

No, not of ourselves, but ourselves.

I am talking about giving our hearts.

The only way that we can truly finish what’s left to be done is if we are a people whose hearts and minds have been submitted to God.

When we undergo that change, we can accomplish anything for the Lord.

As we reflect on our giving this season, I wish that each one of us will, like David, recognize the need for a heart transplant.

“Create in me a clean heart O Lord; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 (KJV)

I guarantee that your heart-gift is one that God will treasure forever.
