Happy New Year!
If you are reading this, God has blessed you with the gift of seeing the start of a new year.
A new chapter in your story has begun. A new page has been turned over.
The question is what will you do with it.
Well, it might be a good time to take up farming.
Why farming, you might ask?
Matthew 7:20 reminds us, “By their fruits you shall know them.”
Ergo, Christians should be concerned with fruit production.
But not any ole fruit will do.
God, in Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV), outlines the specific fruit we should be interested in, “The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…”
The thing is, this is no ordinary fruit.
It produces NINE different types of seeds.
Talk about extra-ordinary!
Over the next few days, I want us to take a closer look at those seeds.
This way, we can be sure that in 2019 we are producing the kind of fruit that God will be pleased with.
