Seeking and Searching

It is fascinating that in an age when the Bible is so widely and readily available, that so many people lack a knowledge of God.

It seems that mankind is caught up with other pursuits.

But the age-old question in Mark 8:36 NLT is still pertinent today, “…What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?”

In fact we are encouraged to, “…Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 KJV

God promises that if we put Him first, He will honour that commitment. But the opposite also applies. “…Everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” Matthew 10:33 NLT

So what’s going to be your priority today?

The pursuit of a deeper knowledge of God through prayer and the reading of His Word or the pointless pursuit of material things?

You decide!
