Trials, Troubles, Tired!

WHATEVER you may be going through this morning, the Lord is there for you.
You are NOT alone.

Isaiah 59:1 NLT tells us, “The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.”

Bad things happen to good people. How many times have we heard that? How many times have we asked why?

Friends, it is natural to question, but it is unhealthy to let those questions fester.

It leads to negative feelings of doubt and despair and before we know it, we have given the enemy a way into our minds.

We will face trials in this life; it is inevitable because we live in a world of sin and the enemy is seeking to devour as many of us (1 Peter 5:8) as he can because he knows his time is short (Revelations12:12). And if he is able to drive a wedge between us and God, he would have succeeded.

Let us REFUSE to give him that satisfaction today.

Instead, let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

We will never understand why God allows what He does. He reminds us in Isaiah 55:8b, “…my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”

Instead of driving ourselves crazy trying to figure it all out, claim one of the 1000s of promises He provided for us. For example, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good…” Romans 8:28a ESV.

Job had no idea why his life had suddenly taken such a drastic turn for the worse; he lost everything by earthly standards, but he NEVER lost his faith in God. “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him,” was his mantra recorded in Job 13:15 NKJV.

I don’t know what you’re going through today friend, but I pray that your faith will be strengthened; that you will take comfort in God’s Word which assures us that He is with us even in the midst of our worst moments. Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV encourages us, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified… for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Have a Trust-Him Thursday!
