If you’re like me, when you’re sitting in God’s waiting room, you get fidgety.
You need this breakthrough NOW – can’t God not see that, you wonder.
But God does not operate a drive-through window sort of service. We can’t just place our order and zoom through the line minutes later.
No.
When we make our requests known to God, we may have to settle in for a season of waiting.
Why?
Because waiting develops our patience.
Because waiting reminds us of our dependence on God.
Because waiting enriches our faith.
Because waiting says “I trust in God’s timing”.
Because waiting makes the experience of hearing our name (finally) called so much sweeter.
Because waiting allows you to encourage someone later on when they’re in their season of waiting.
So maybe like me, sometimes you’re tempted to give up and walk out of the waiting room in a huff.
But I want to remind us of the promise Jesus gave, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22 GNT
Today, you may feel like you’ve had enough but, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage…wait, I say, on the Lord.” Psalms 27:14 KJV
Wow! God is speaking to me… I just wrote a blog post about this exact thing yesterday. Thank you for sharing ❤
