Overcome Overthinking

If you’re like me and tend to exhibit more of a Type A personality, you’ve probably already begun to think about your To-Do list for the week ahead.

But there’s a fine line between being prepared and stressing yourself out.
So if you’ve already begun to feel anxious, STOP!

Seriously!

God will be there for you, waiting to help you, EVERY SINGLE DAY!

I can tell you this because I’ve experienced it myself.

Trust me, you won’t tire Him out!

In Matthew 6:34, we are cautioned, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (NIV)

So if you’re lying in bed, overthinking and overwhelming yourself, press pause!

Pray right now. Ask God to clear your mind from all of the what-ifs, to calm your churning stomach, to loosen that knot of tension in your neck, to slow your breathing and bring your heart rate back to normal.

Give the week to Him. Tell Him what you have planned, and trust Him to get you through, one day at a time.

Now close your eyes in confidence, knowing that God’s got you!
