When celebrities walk the various red carpets, they’re often plagued by a popular question. “Who are you wearing?”
This then prompts the person to sing the praises of their fashion designer.
If the person was an unknown entity, they’re suddenly thrust into the world of fame.
Other times, the interviewer already has their suspicions as every famous designer tends to have signature “tells” that give them away. So the person simply provides confirmation.
What about you? Can people tell just by looking at you, whose “clothes” you are wearing?
God offers us various options from his collection, including:
-fine linen of salvation (Rev. 19:8)
-robes of righteousness (Isa. 61:10)
-belts of faithfulness (Isa. 11:5)
-clothes of gladness (Ps. 30:11)
-shoes of peace (Eph. 6:15)
-crowns of righteousness (2 Tim. 4:8)
On the other hand, the devil’s line includes:
-filthy garments (Isa. 64:6)
-lying lips (Prov. 12:22)
-crowns of thorns (Mark 15:17)
-blinders (Gen. 3:4)
-death shrouds (Rev. 21:8)
Whether you believe it or not, we signal our “dress” preference to others every day; by the way we live; the things we say, the places we go and the way we respond to situations “tells” who is dressing us these days.
Hopefully, we are making the wise decision to choose God’s “clothing” collection. It is made to last and has a lifetime guarantee.
So if you’re ever asked who you are wearing, do take advantage of the opportunity to sing the praises of God, the world’s greatest designer.
It may just help someone else make a smart “clothing” choice too.
