Fair-weather Friend

I can’t believe that it has already been five (5) days since my last blog post. Where has the time gone?

I admit. As much as I’d like to write a devotional daily, life often gets in the way.

And when life gets super busy, I write less.
When life gets super-busy, I stress more. I’m tired more. All of which leads to a lack of creativity. Ergo, no writing.

Sad, isn’t it?

And not at all the sort of life that God would choose for us. But that’s another post.

Whenever I don’t write, I feel guilty; like a fair-weather friend. Unreliable and inconsistent.

Do you know anyone like that? We probably all do.

THANK God that HE is NOT like that.

Regardless of what is happening with us, around us or to us, God IS ALWAYS there!!!

He doesn’t care about us only when the mood strikes.
No.

He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24) He is reliable.

He is a friend whose mercies are available EVERY, SINGLE DAY! (Lamentations 3: 22-23) He is consistent.

Now, how can we ever be anything but grateful for that?
