Ever notice the huge rocks near the sea?
If you have, I’m sure you noticed how weathered they look. You can see the evidence of the waves beating against them for countless years. Many have indentations and carvings left behind by the constant lashings of the water. In some cases, their very appearance is different.
But you know what’s an even bigger deal? They are STILL STANDING!
Well, the Bible tells us that God is a rock. “Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.”
Isaiah 26:4 NLT
With all that’s happening in the world today, we can be sure that He is still standing.
When we walk on those huge rocks near the sea, we are pretty confident because we know they’ve been around for a long time.
Can’t we say the same about God?
When we look back on our lives, hasn’t God been there for us?
He did not leave us through the ups and downs, the highs and lows.
No, He has been there. So we should be confident placing our trust in Him.
When the waves of life come crashing upon us, we might be surprised, but God is not.
He stands ready and prepared to double up our strength, to be our defence.
But the question remains – will we trust Him?
